Better Together Foster Care provides the best services possible by building relationships with all individuals involved in a child’s case. Better Together Foster Care will help ensure success, permanency, and Foster children. Better Together Foster Care will make sure that all services will be culturally responsive, respectful of youth and Foster parents and always guarantee the safety and wellbeing of children.
Better Together Foster Care realizes choosing to become a foster parent is a huge decision. Our team of a combined 31 years of experience, ready to answer any questions you may have. Better Together Foster Care was developed due to the great need for foster homes within our communities. Our passion for making a positive change in a child's life and in our community is our number one goal. Please join us in this journey and together we can make a child's life better.
Better Together came into being due to the high need for foster homes in our community. There are just not enough foster homes in our community to handle the increasing needs of foster youth. The team at Better Together Foster Care has one mission and that is to help foster youth be successful in all walks of life. To reach that goal we focus on the relationships we build with the foster parents, the foster youth and our state workers. Working as a team we can help all foster youth realize their potential, gain independence and have a brighter future. We also encourage permanency whenever possible and try to build resiliency in the foster youth we serve.
Foster Care
This service is for children that do not have extreme behaviors and are usually for short term placements or children and Families that are in the process of working on issues to return home.
Adoption
Better Together works with foster parents who's sincere desire is to adopt children.
Behavioral rehabilitation Services
This service is for foster youth who have experienced severe trauma and have some behavioral issues due to that trauma. This service usually last for approximately one year.
What we offer
Better Together Foster Care offers help and support to the foster youth, foster parents and state workers. We provide Case-aid services, case management services and respite services. We also attend medication, doctor appointments and school and court meetings as needed.
How could you take part
Become a licensed foster parent with our agency, provide respite, become a mentor to foster youth, provide gift cards for birthdays and special occasions volunteer or contribute monetarily to aid foster youth in participating in extra-curricular activities.
Resources
Better Together uses several resources in the community to get services for our foster youth, services such as mental health, crisis response, tutoring and special activities. We work with community members to ensure our foster youth receive all they need to be successful.
